Discovery of natural indigo

During this course we are going to set up an indigo vat together and create a color chart of blues. We will discover the shibori technique including itajime folding and reserves. On pieces of cotton or linen you will learn to create different patterns, according to your fancy. We will also meet some indigo plants and their history in our tinctorial garden.
